Our Story

Focus Health and Fitness owner, Jennifer Robson, teamed up with Head Trainer, Lindsey Williams, two years ago to help Jennifer train for her first marathon.  After the marathon,  the idea of partnering to bring focused health and fitness to the community was developed.  Jennifer and Lindsey are both very passionate about fitness and share a common goal of providing a unique, effective and fun fitness experience.


Our Approach

At Focus Health and Fitness, we believe fitness, nutrition and overall wellness are all essential components to a healthy lifestyle.  Our small group class sizes are taught by ACE and NASM certified personal trainers who are able to help with technique and form, provide modifications if necessary and give you the individualized attention you deserve.  Our nutrition coaching will help you reach your goals and provide you with the information and tools you need to improve your diet and our wellness coaching will nurture a healthier mindset and overall wellbeing.  We are dedicated to providing McHenry County and surrounding communities with an energizing, welcoming and well rounded approach to fitness and healthy living!


Focus on Fitness

Our fitness classes are designed to provide maximum results within each session.  Our circuit-style classes combine cardio and resistance training that will result in visible toning, improved stamina and increased overall strength. Each class is lead by one of our certified personal trainers, who will ensure an effective workout for any fitness level. Our classes will provided adequate variety that will keep you engaged and wanting to come back for more!

Focus on Nutrition

Focus on Nutrition is not a diet or a restrictive food plan that requires you to give up entire food groups just to meet your weight loss goals. Our program is intended to help you on your journey to a healthier relationship with food and nurture a true lifestyle change. Our package offers a weekly group coaching session and support via other interactive media. We also offer one-on-one coaching for more individualized attention. We will give you realistic guidance, that helps YOU make the best decisions about the food you eat.
